Times of sunrise from January 2011 to December 2011
Explanation:
- January 2011 - 6:25am June 2011 - 5:30am
February 2011 - 6:17 am July 2011 - 5:28am
March 2011 - 5:49am August 2011 - 5:35am
April 2011 - 5:38am September 2011- 5:40am
May 2011 - 5:32am October 2011 - 5:45am
- Sunrise starts a little later than usual in the winter time which includes the month of Jan- Mar.
- From march onwards , the sunrise starts occurring slightly earlier due to onset of spring season.
- Further again from , June to September the sunrise happens much earlier . June marks the summer solstice and hence days are longer . Therefore sunrise is earliest in this month.
- From October onwards , we notice a slight delay in sunrise as the autumn and then winter sets in. December marking the most delayed sunrise , as winter solstice sets in and days are the shortest as compared to any other month.
- This happens mainly because the Earth does not move around the Sun in a perfect circle . The angular velocity differs throughout the year resulting in the fact that the sun will not rise or set at the same time of day in different months as the year goes by.
