Answer:

Tamil Nadu and Jammu Kashmir are way different from each other. The traditions, cultures, language everything contradicts with each other. I know only a little about Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir:

  • Jammu and Kashmir is one of the varified state in India with diversified culture.

  • It has a strong influence of Persian and Mughal cultures

  • The language spoken is Kashmiri which is related with Urdu and Persian.

  • The religion adapted by the people is predominantly Islam and their tradition and festivals are inclined with Muslim community

  • Jammu has beautiful lakes and Himalayan peaks. There is a major dispute between India and Pakistan for the land share which has made Kasmir totally locked these days.

Tamil Nadu:

  • One of the states which shares less resemblance in culture and tradition with other states of India.

  • Is the home land of Tamil, one of the oldest surviving languages in the world .

  • The customs, traditions, language differs at a very high range from other states.

  • The predominant religion is Hinduism followed by Muslims and Christianity. But a high range of religious tolerance is followed almost by everyone.

  • Other than Bharatanatyam, there are many folk dances unique to Tamil Nadu like Theru Koothu, Karagam, Kaavadi, Thappu aattam, Oyilaattam etc.

  • Tamil Nadu has all 5 types of lands unique to a subcontinent.

  • Like Kashmir, Tamil Nadu has a strong influence of Dravidian movement and Tamil Nationalism which demands for a separate status for Tamil Nadu (a further reason)

  • Tamil Nadu is all rich with old Temples, famous churches and abundant Mosques.
