Evaporation is the process in which liquid water changes into gas(water vapour).

Transpiration: when plants open the stomatal pores present in leaves the water in the leaves evaporates and this creates a suction pull which help to transport water from roots.this takes place in xylem with the help of vessels and tracheids .

Transpiration does not work at night because there is no sunlight for evaporating the water

Transpiration only takes place in plants

whereas evaporation takes places in all bodies having water exposed to heat or sunlight.
