6 protons means it's Carbon. 6 neutrons as well says it's Carbon-12. with 6 electrons says it's a Carbon atom. Its a long time since I studied the periodic table, but if memory serves, it is carbon 12.

The atomic mass is the total of the number of protons + neutrons. If it has 6 protons and an atomic mass of 13 then it has 13–6 = 7 neutrons. If the atom is electronically neutral, that is to say it doesn't have a charge then the number of electrons must be the same as the number of protons.
