the similarities between them are mahatma gandhi and nelson mandela believed in freedom for everyone.They believed that everyone should get equal rights.The greatest difference between both deals with non-violence. According to Mandela, violence becomes a necessity when government tyrannizes nation. On the other hand, Gandhi was not in favor of violence. He decided not to violate any law as he experienced law in depth.In 1960’s Mandela got imprisoned till 1990. On the other hand, Gandhi got imprisoned multiple times in South Africa and in India as well. This individual experience, a beam of unity and brotherhood got embraced by them.Mandela is considered as a more political and determined whereas Gandhi is a nationalist revival in India. Contrarily, self-determination was there but ideas were different.Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by a Hindu being man on 30th January 1948. On the other side, Mandela kept in prison and got martyred on 5th December, 2013.
