In solids the particles are tightly packed and attract each other very firmly. diffusion cannot be possible. whereas in liquids there is a little space between the particles. and the diffusion is very low whereas In gases ,the particles can flow in any direction . the diffusion is very high in gases compared to solids and liquids.
