people support democracy as :-
-power is not only given to one person therefore there will be proper decision making
- people will be equal before the law
- the citizens will not be judged according to caste,religion,sex or colour
- very person is allowed to vote and each vote equals to one value
- They are given certain important right such as right to education,right to religion etc.
people are against democracy as:-
-there is a lot of corruption due to democracy since it is based of electoral competition
-the government or the president (in case of some contry the prime minister) changes the constitution several times which causes instability
- the elected leader do not know what is the best for the people hence it leads to bad decisions
- democracy is all bout political competition and power play and there is no scope for molarity
-ordinary people do not know whats the best for them hence they do not decide on anything
