Basically exact sciences are the hard sciences which do not include the study of human behavior. They look at those forms of natural sciences which take into account those studies that can be logically proven.
It looks at math, physics, chemistry, those forms of natural sciences which are exact. Which can be calculated. Which can be stated as definite facts and proven via use of logic.
Similarly in social sciences, humanities is the soft part of social sciences which takes a look at the human society and relation of man to society. This relation is that part of the social sciences which eliminates rest studies but includes those which can develop some form of relationship between two variables. It is that form of social sciences in which something definite may be proven.
Exact science is a branch of natural sciences and so is humanities, its a branch of social sciences.
