The four Gandhiji's early Satyagraha in India were:-

1. Ahmedabad Satyagraha of 1918

• The main reason for the Ahmedabad movement was the abolition of the plague bonus given by the mill-owners to the laborers.

• The British Collectors pressured the mill owners to settle the case.

• Mill workers wanted to retain this bonus, because the inflation had raised highly due to the WW-1. And the bonus they was recieving was much less than the increased inflation.

2. Rowlatt Satyagraha of 1919

• This law gave the British government the right to imprison any Indian without imprisonment.

• The Rowlatt Act was also known as the Black Law.

• It was created by the British government in India to crush the emerging national movement in India.

3. The Champaran Satyagraha of 1917

• It was India's first civil disobedience movement under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi in Champaran district of Bihar.

• The main focus of the Champaran movement for Mahatma Gandhi was to address the plight of Champaran farmers.

4. Kheda Satyagraha of 1918

• Mahatma Gandhi campaigned against British rule, the largest peasant movement in Gujarat.

• After Champaran, Gandhiji worked tirelessly to improve the worsening condition of farmers in Kheda.
