(a) C_{2} H_{5} OH + Conc.H_{2} SO_{4}  -> C_{2} H_{4} + H_{2}

(b) CH_{3} COOH + C_{2} 2H_{5} OH +Conc. H_{2} SO_{4} -> CH_{3} 3COOC_{2} H_{5}  + H_{2} O

Explanation:

(a) C_{2} H_{5} OH + Conc.H_{2} SO_{4}  -> C_{2} H_{4} + H_{2}

When Ethanol reacts with conc sulphuric acid forming Ethene along with excess amount of water and the process is called dehydration reaction

(b) CH_{3} COOH + C_{2} 2H_{5} OH +Conc. H_{2} SO_{4} -> CH_{3} 3COOC_{2} H_{5}  + H_{2} O

When acetic acid reacts chemically with ethanol in the presence of conc sulphuric acid forming Ethyl Ethanoate( an ester having fruity smell) along with the excess amount of water  and the process is said to be Esterification process.
