Mr. Shah lived in a posh residential complex. The residential complex had a huge tree at the
centre of it. It was a peepal tree. The residents hung a swing on it , fed the birds and the
squirrels that resided in it. One day, a builder decided to chop it off and build a swimming
pool in its place. The residents protested but the builders convinced them that the swimming
pool would look better. Only Mr. Shah was not convinced .

Once there was Mr. Shah who lived in a posh residential complex. The residential complex had a huge tree at the centre of it. It was a peepal tree. The residents used to hang a swing on it. It was very much enjoyable to them. The peepal tree fed the birds and the squirrels that resided in it. Everything was good. In the evening birds returned to their nests and their adorable little babies waited for their moms and dads. They brought insects worms for them and also fed their babie. Whole days squirrels searched food and at night took rest in the hole of the tree with their children. It was not only a peepal tree but also a world to them. There lived many kinds of birds. One day a builder decided to chop it off and build a swimming pool in its place. The residents protested but the builders convinced them that the swimming pool would look better. Only Mr. Shah was not convinced because we knew tree was more important than a swimming pool. After all it was a house of birds, squirrels, ants, etc.
Birds and Squirrels Win in Court

Only Mr. Shah was not convinced. He was determined to save the peepal tree. He had become a close friend to birds and squirrels. He would daily feed them. The squirrels and birds would often sit on his hand and eat the grains that he fed them daily. They had become like a family members to him.
He filed a case against the builders in the court. The judge was convinced that destroying the tree would mean destroying natural habitat of birds and squirrels. He passed the verdict in favour of Mr. Shah. Everyone in the complex was happy.
Moral: Animals also have a right to live.
