Finding HCF

We express each number as the product of 1 and prime numbers:

  • 3 = 1 × 3
  • 6 = 1 × 2 × 3
  • 9 = 1 × 3 × 3
  • 12 = 1 × 2 × 2 × 3
  • 15 = 1 × 3 × 5
  • 18 = 1 × 2 × 3 × 3
  • 24 = 1 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3
  • 30 = 1 × 2 × 3 × 5
  • 36 = 1 × 2 × 2 × 3 × 3

Now we find HCF of given pairs:

  • HCF(12, 3) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(15, 3) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(18, 3) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(30, 3) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(36, 3) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(12, 6) = 1 × 2 × 3 = 6
  • HCF(15, 6) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(18, 6) = 1 × 2 × 3 = 6
  • HCF(30, 6) = 1 × 2 × 3 = 6
  • HCF(36, 6) = 1 × 2 × 3 = 6
  • HCF(12, 9) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(15, 9) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(18, 9) = 1 × 3 × 3 = 9
  • HCF(30, 9) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(36, 9) = 1 × 3 × 3 = 9
  • HCF(12, 12) = 1 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 12
  • HCF(15, 12) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(18, 12) = 1 × 2 × 3 = 6
  • HCF(30, 12) = 1 × 2 × 3 = 6
  • HCF(36, 12) = 1 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 12
  • HCF(12, 24) = 1 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 12
  • HCF(15, 24) = 1 × 3 = 3
  • HCF(18, 24) = 1 × 2 × 3 = 6
  • HCF(30, 24) = 1 × 2 × 3 = 6
  • HCF(36, 24) = 1 × 2 × 2 × 3 = 12
