There are 3 series:

1) 1,4,9....(increasing in order to the multiple of 3)

2) 2,3,5....(increasing by adding the next number such as, 2+1=3,3+2=5.....)

3)10,14.....(increasing by 4)

So, the answer is 18

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Concept:

A pattern is a list of integers in a specific order. The three dots indicate that the pattern should be followed. A term is the name given to each number in the series. 1 is the first term, 3 is the second term, 5 is the third term, and so on in the series 1, 3, 5, 7, 9,... 1 is the first term, 3 is the second term, 5 is the third term, and so on.

Given:

The series is 1, 2, 10, 4, 3, 14, 9, 5, ?.

Find:

Lets find the next number in the series.

Solution:

There are three sequences in the given sequence.

1,4,9,16 are the square of the numbers 1,2,3,4.

2,3,5,7 belongs to the Prime number series.

10,14,18,22 has a Common difference of 4.

The number which is missing is 18 and belongs to the third series.
