Lets start off by regrouping them in even and odd orders to see the pattern:

Group 1 : ZYYZR, _______, XWABT

Group 2: ABVUM,  BCUTL,  CDTSK

We can see the pattern in group 2 : AB, BC, CD

That will be ZY , YX,  XW

(The alphabet order backward being ZYXW)

A careful look will show that there are two series of group of letter namely:-

1) ZYYZR,(?),XWABT
2) ABVUM,BCUTL,CDTSK

In the first series, let us see the relations of letters in different positions:-

Position Rule (?)

Z ? X. 1 letter backward. Y

Y ? W. 1 letter backward. X

Y ? A. 1 letter forward. Z

Z ? B. -do- A

R ? T. -do- S

Hence the missing letter group is YXZAS (option 1).
