Amit was very fond of flying kites. One day, he was standing on one of the walls of the terrace of his house and flying a kite. Suddenly, he lost his balance and he fell down several feet. Luckily where he fell, there was a dense mango tree and instead of dashing down on the floor, he got stuck among the branches of the mango tree. There ran a panic among all his friends who were flying kite with him and one of them ran to his grandmother to break the news.
When Amit's grandmother and mother heard about it, they came out in the courtyard and found him almost lying within the web of branches of the tree. As his mom shouted out his name, he groaned in response. She didn't know how to climb a tree and there was no one in the house whom she could call for the task. Ultimately, she went to her neighbor Mr. Sharma whose son Mrinal was in college and he was at home due to vacation. Mrinal ran to the courtyard where Amit was stuck in the branches of the mango tree and was in a state of shock.
Mrinal quickly climbed the tree, put Amit on his shoulder and slowly descended safely. He lay Amit down who gazed at him, as if not able to understand what was happening. Both his mother and grandmother were in tears. They thanked the mango tree from the core of their hearts and thought what would have happened if the tree were not there. Amit had got only a few scratches on his arms and legs which healed in a week's time. But Amit, from that very day, swore that he will never stand on the wall while flying kites.
