Firoz Shah Tughlak completed the construction of the Qutub Minar. The construction of the Qutub Minar was started by Qitub-ud-Din Aibak in 1192, but he only constructed the basement.

His successor, Iltutmush, who constructed three more storeys are made of red sandstone.

In 1368, Firoz Shah Tughlak finally constructed the fifth and the last storey made of marble and sandstone.
