Animals such as frogs and fish lay hundreds of eggs because all eggs do not get fertilised and hence do not develop into new individuals. These eggs are exposed to water movement , wind and rainfall and a large number of them are eaten by other animals present in the water . The baby that hatches out of the frog's egg is called a TADPOLE .
The tadpole undergoes several changes before it becomes an adult frog ..
