SUMMARY OF NOVEL BLACK MIDAS:

The novel centers on Aron Smart, an orphan with dreams that seem unreachable. Because of the unfortunate circumstances that follow him, he decides to become a diamond prospector. His fortunes suddenly change and he becomes rich. He attempts to buy his way to middle school, but is later cheated out of his fortune. With great desperation he mines recklessly, leading to a terrible accident that gets him maimed. With this he opts to become a farmer.
