Education is meant to help in the overall development of an individual.However, it is sad to note that education today is focused on high scores and competition.The competition does not occur between the students alone. On the other hand, there is a competition between the schools and other educational institutions to make a higher profit than another.There is no focus on the skills and talents of the students. Students are book worms who gulp down what is found in the books.The power to think or question is lost.As a result, we have lost intellectual individuals and have nurtured machines and robots who are programmed to perform their tasks and responsibilities.
