Family Composition: My family is composed of five people. In my family the only one who works and provides for us is my mother because my father got injured. After his injury he wasn’t able to work anymore. My mother’s name is Irma, my father’s name is Sergio and they are both in their 50’s. My sister’s name is Gaby and she is 23, my brother’s name is Junior and he is 11. Both my sister and I are in college and my brother is still in elementary. In conclusion, we are a small family. On the other hand, my mother’s family composition was old school. My mother told me that things were different back then. My mother was born and rises in México with 8 siblings, three females; including herself and four males. The names of her siblings were Luis, Nacho, Raul, Laura, Angelica, Bernando, and Mali. Living in a house of sic rooms. My mother was the oldest so she had to be the 2nd mother to all of them. Overall, she had large family than the family size than I have.
Social Class: As I mention earlier my parents didn’t have a good education, my dad only went up to 6th grade and my mom went up to 6th grade. The only one who works is my mom; she works at Sun Maid. Her income is about $400-600 a week and about 30,000 a year. I would say that we are slightly on the middle class.
