Explanation:

If we want to reach our goals , we must make sure that we are perfect in it because their are thousand of people out there who want the same goal. Here is were competition steps in ; many people are scared of it,and even against it but they do not know its importance. The world today has people competing against each other since the beginning of time, it is in our human nature and many successes have come from it.

Competition is everywhere it is in jobs, schools and sports.  In this essay I will be talking about why competition is a good thing, how it helps children grow and how it works in society. Competition is the real world and those who have talent or work the hardest are able to succeed.Competition will always favour the best person and that is a good thing. It allows people to be motivated and always stay at the top of their game. It allows hard work and determination to be put forward into achieving your goals.

In the real world there will always be someone that will try to outdo you and then the success in competition will always favour the best party achieving the best result always.

Competition encourages talent and hard work, according to Brummel Brad, University of Tulsa (2012, May 1.) "If you want to be individually rewarded and areachievement motivated, then you will want some competition." this means that without competition, people can never be fully rewarded and it won’t keep people motivated and to strive.

People will most likely to get more done with competition in their minds, it promotes people to grow from their weaknesses and then challenge others. It allows a goal and a purpose for people telling them to achieve great things; it can also help us prepare for the real world as it is unfair sometimes.

I believe competition is a part of human nature, when you get knocked down, it is natural to stand back up and try again to not give up and succeed, to be determined to get what you want and compete to believe that you are the best.

Competition gives passion to people to accomplish their own dreams; it teaches us what it means to be human and gives us an opportunity for greater things in life.Competition in society is a lot harsher, as it will always favour the person with the most talent or skill. Finding a job is not as easy as it will depend on your degree and people will always compete against you for a spot.

It is said by Trikha Ritika (May 1, 2012) “A competitive environment has no room for laziness or mediocrity. You're held accountable for your work and achievements, and failure to perform will leavespace for your competitors to zoom ahead”  Competition in society can be extremely unfair and sacrifices will always be made, buy even so competition does still lead to success as there is always a person that is on the top.

So in order to succeed in the real world, you have to show that you are the best among other people. Competition changes human civilizations letting it evolve in various ways. It teaches people to be more creative, making people think outside the box to come up with new ideas. It helps development for people who have loss, turning it into something positive because mistakes can help people grow.

It allows a goal and purpose to people allowing them to achieve great things, competition is everywhere and without it, society wouldn’t be where it is now today. Life is more challenging as it is a natural behaviour of humans to be best at something than someone else.

Competition can have a bad image as it has a negative and unfavourable atmosphere. People are under so much pressure as it is important to succeed, that there is no fun involved and this can lead to cheating and a lack of sportsmanship, so it is important to teach the acts of being fair.

Answer:

              Competition leads to progress

Undoubtedly, competition leads to progress. If there were no competitors, there would not be much progress. In a race contestants take part in order to win the first position; before the competition they practice hard and learn more skills to run faster. In this practice they improve and progress. Similarly, in other competitions also participants endeavor to outsmart their rivals.

In the cold war era, USA and USSR were the primary rivals; this rivalry led to invention of many sophisticated weapons, machines, technology, etc. there was space race between the two countries; each country trying to stay ahead of the other. If USSR sent first, space mission successfully, USA landed astronauts on the moon. As a result of the rivalry, the space science developed phenomenally. Man is planning to set up colonies on the moon and mars now.

In conclusion it can be said competition leads to progress.
