the last five years.

Answer:
I come from a town just outside of Denver, Colorado called Greenwood Village.
When my family moved there, it was much more rural, undeveloped, and less populous. There was a large field with a little creek running through it over by my friend’s house that you could get into by climbing over a fence. When I first moved there, most of the neighborhood’s residents were older and whiter. I-25, which is maybe a mile as the crow flies from my house, was only one lane wide. There were fewer businesses and large chains there and many of the stores were at the time small and local.
Now the field has been plowed over and replaced with more houses, so my town is becoming more developed. The residents have changed too, the majority are still older and whiter than the American average but there has recently been an influx of younger people, who are slightly more diverse and multicultural. I-25 has been widened and now there is a light rail train to take people to the city. Big business and large chains are more present, and the old local chains have definitely lost much of their influence.
Its definitely hard watching everything you know change completely. But at the end of the day, its not preserving things as they stood that matters. Its knowing when what has been preserved for years needs to be fixed.

My city is my identity and I love the place I live in. They share beautiful memories and are a part of my life. There is so much to look and enjoy in the city. Recent changes in the last few years have made my city even better. Things like metro, proper roads and traffic guidelines have made community easy.
