Compound A C6H12O2 on heating with aqueous acid forms a carboxylic acid B and an alcohol C. Oxidation of C with KMnO4 gives B. Write the structure of A?

kakawaljeet: Answer is A-n-Propyl propanoate, B-Propanoic acid and C is 1-propanal. But I don't know how .If anybody know then please tell me.
