compound like alcohol and glucose also contain hydrogen,but they are not categories as acids.why???

Acids are the chemicals which dissociate Hydrogen ion when dissolved in water.

Since , compounds like glucose and alcohol do not dissociate Hydrogen ion when dissolved in water, though they contain hydrogen ,they are not considered as acids.
