E is represented by 35.

34 is represented by f.

smallest number is d which is 31.

Given:

A B C D E F G are seven different integers when properly arranged they are consecutive integers lying between 30 and 39

conditions:

1.e-d+4=g/4

2.c-g=b - a

3.a is not an even no

4.the highest no. b is a prime no

To find:

1. which no is represented by e

2.""" by f

3. which is smallest number

Solution:

b is the highest no. and it is a prime number

prime number between 30 and 39 are 31,37.

So, b being highest and prime no. is 37.

The consecutive numbers are 31,32,33,34,35,36,37.

a can be 31,33 or 35.

e-d+4=g/4

As all are integral values g has to be multiple of 4 so it can be either 32 or 36.

c-g=b - a

c+a= g+b

as b is 37 g cannot be 36 because the sum of g and b will be greater than c and a which will not satisfy the condition, so g is 32.

so, c+a = 32+37 = 69.

e-d + 4 = 32/4

e-d + 4 = 8

e-d = 4

so, e is greater than d and we have only two number whose difference is 4

so, e= 35 and d = 31

Numbers left are 33,34,36

a cannot be an even number so a is 33

c+a = 69

c = 69-a

c=69-33

c = 36

Hence, only f is left so f is 34.

E is represented by 35.

34 is represented by f.

smallest number is d which is 31.
