In order to function, computers use two types of memory: primary and secondary. The main storage is the primary memory, and data and programs are stored in secondary memory. Data is stored as lots of binary numbers, by magnetism, electronics or optics.

ANSWER :

Computers utilise primary memory and secondary memory in order to work. Primary memory serves as the primary storage, whereas secondary memory houses data and programmes.
Using magnets, electronics, or optics, data is stored as a large number of binary digits.

EXPLANATION :

A computer's ability to store information, either temporarily or permanently, is known as storage. Since they enable users to store many types of information, including films, documents, images, and raw data, storage devices like flash drives and hard discs are a crucial part of the majority of digital gadgets.

Types of storage’s are:

a) Hard Drives

b) Solid-State Drives (SSD)

c) CD/DVD Drives.
d) Flash Drives.

Any computer data storage system that keeps its data even when it is not powered on is known as permanent storage or persistent storage.

The hard drive or SSD in a computer is a typical illustration of permanent storage.
