◼Conc.HNO3 is highly unstable compound and on slight heating may decompose into (No3)-2 .So when its exposed ro sunlight decomposed giving yellowish colour of nitogen di oxide.

◼To prevent it it must be kept in opaque bottles or away from sunlight.
