Habitat can be preserved by preventing deforestation. planting trees( afforestation ) to create new forest which provides shelter and food for wildlife can also protect natural habitat of animals by creating wildlife sanctuaries. India has a rich variety of flora and fauna. Man has destroyed them to quite an extent.
