1.all object continues to be in its state of rest or uniform motion unless acted upon by an external unbalanced force.
2.the rate of change of momentum of an object is proportional to the unbalanced force in the direction of the force.

Newton gave three laws of motion. All the three laws are useful for determining the state and parameters of body in motion.
What is first law of motion?
- First law of motion states, "Any body in motion will remain in motion and any body at rest will stay at rest until and unless an external force is applied on the body".
- It introduces the concept of inertia, which is defined as the measure of mass of a body. Inertia is directly proportional to the mass of body.
What is Second law of motion?
- Second law of motion states "Any push or pull exerted on a body is given as change in momentum of body with respect to time."
- It gives the expression to determine magnitude of force on a body which is F = m * a, where m is the mass of body and a is the acceleration with which the body is in motion.
What is third law of motion?
- Third law of motion states "Any force of action has an equal and opposite force of reaction".
- It gives the direction of force and introduces the concept of action-reaction pair of forces.
