Tales of Bhola Grandpa by Manoj Das is a comic story which shows several of the funny activities done by the Grandpa. The story is about Bhola grandpa who lived with his wife and few monkeys living in Bokal tree. Bhola Grandpa had taken his grandson to the festival but when he returned back to the village, he had forgotten about his grandson who was later found by the villagers hiding under a cow’s belly.

In all the commotion and chaos Bhola had then realised that his grandson was not with him and that he had lost him in the crowd of the festival. Yet another incident, Bhola Grandpa had encountered a tiger in the forest and in order to escape from the tiger, he climbed up a tree and went of the sleep in the tree. He stayed there until the morning and got down only after the tiger left. However, Bhola did not remember anything that happened the previous night after he climbed the tree. Apart from the incident mentioned above, Bhola was known to imagine things and tell the villagers.

At the age of 95 Bhola died and his wife had lamented that Bhola must have forgotten to breathe, considering Bhola’s nature to forget things easily. This story is the edited version of Manoj Das’s short story that narrates Bhola Grandpa's comical adventures as seen through the eyes of the person who had known him personally. The forgetfulness and simplicity of Bhola Grandpa gives a humour element on which the story centres .
