According to archaeological tradition, Harappa was the first discovered site. I would like to mention one amazing fact about Harappan Civilization people did not have any idea about Iron during 2500BC.
. Harappan/Indus Civilization: Indus civilization was started in 2500BC. It is called Indus Saraswati Civilization because this civilization was settled along the Saraswati river (80%) and Indus river(20%).
.Indus Civilization was spread over Sindh, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, UP West, Northern Maharashtra, Rajasthan.
.Harappa and Mohenjodaro were the capital cities during Indus Civilization.
Best things about Indus Civilization were:
1. Indus Civilization was primarily urban. When I say urban it means the city was well planned, roads were in good condition.
2.Women have several rights.
3.Society was not divided during Indus Civilization. Casteism hitted our society during Rig Vedic period.
4.Quarters were provided to the workmen.
5.Export rate was higher than import rate.
6.Copper made mirrors were used.
7.Well maintained drainage system.
8.Decorated bricks were used for making the house.
9.Main crops- Wheat & Barley.
.Mesopotamia Civilization: Era of Mesopotamia Civilization started from 5000BC. Mesopotamia encompasses the land between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, both of which have their headwaters in the Armenian Highlands. Both rivers are fed by numerous tributaries, and the entire river system drains a vast mountainous region.
Facts about Mesopotamia Civilization:
1.It is situated between two rivers named Tigris and Euphrates.
2.People from Mesopotamia did not believe in after life. They believed that all people go under ground as ghosts and eat dirt.
3.Mesopotamian cities were known for their diverse array of artisans and craftsmen.
4.At that time people used to believe that they are the servant of God.
5.The Wheel, Sailboat and Irrigation systems were invented during Mesopotamia region.
6.Mesopotamian soldiers were paid with wooden coins while During Indus civilization coin did not exist.
