Necessary conditions for combustion:-

  • Combustible substance
  • Supporter of combustion
  • Attainment of ignition temperature of the combustible substance.

________________________________

Combustible substance:- Combustible substance like wood, paper and cloth should be present, then only combustion takes place.

________________________________

Supporter of Combustion:- It is a chemical reaction where there is a relation between a combustible substance and oxygen so as to produce heat. It doesn't burns without presence of oxygen.

________________________________

Attainment of ignition temperature:- Wood and coal do not start burning on their own. They can only burn when they're heated by flame or a bunsen burner to certain minimum temperature. Ignition temperature is marked as the lowest temperature to which a substance catches fire and start burning.
