'In the bazaars of Hyderabad' by Sarojini Naidu- Confluence of culture

In the poem ‘In the bazaars of Hyderabad’ Sarojini Naidu depicts the real hustle bustle of markets in India. We get to know all the things sold in the market right from lentil and rice to ivory dice and from variety of fruits to music instruments and gold ornaments.

This poem truly reflects the essence of Indian market, its bargaining art and confluence of culture. All types of vendors are mentioned in this poem with their products. We learn so many items that were sold and purchased in those old days.

Thus, this poem is nothing but a kaleidoscope of contemporary life.
