Given info : conical flask A contains collidal solution of particle size 10 nm while conical flask B contains a true solution of particle size 1 nm.

We have to compare the volume of collidal particles in flask A to the volume of solute particle in flask B.

Solution : we know volume of sphere, V = 4/3πr³ i.e., V ∝ r³

So, V₁/V₂ = (r₁/r₂)³

Here r₁ = 10nm = 10^-8 m and r₂ = 10^-9

so, V₁/V₂ = (10^-8/10^-9)³ = (10)³ = 1000/1

Therefore the volume of collidal particle is 1000 times the volume of solute particle of true solution.
