'A Horse And Two Goats ' by R K Narayan.

The story concludes as Foreigner gives 100rupee note to Muni assuming him as a owner of the statue and Muni takes the money assuming that Foreigner is interested to buy these two goats. He receives the money and leaves the place. Foreigner thought that Muni went to call people to lift the statue , he waits for a hour and later with the help of passengers in the lorry he keeps the statue in his wagon and moves to New York. Muni happily gives 100 rupee note to his Wife. She doubts muni and asks him if he had stealed it . Muni assures her that he sold his goats to the foreigner . Later his wife hears the goat sound when she opens the door she founds two goats in front of her threshold. She says that to night the police come and he arrest you , Don't involve me in this and I am going to my parents.
