Answer:

the potential energy of the bob is minimum at A and reaches maximum at a1 because the height of the bob is maximum at that position

when the bob is released from this point a1 it's potential energy decreases and kinetic energy starts increasing slowly

when the bob reaches the position A it's kinetic energy reaches maximum and potential energy becomes minimum

thus energy can neither be created nor destroyed. it can only be changed from one form to another

this is called law of conservation of energy
