need for conserving mineral resource industry and agriculture are much dependent on the mineral deposits and substance manufactured , from them. since they take millions of years to be replenished  and are depleting because of the or our rapid consumption , therefore they need to be conserved . the rate of formation of mineral resources is much smaller than their current rate or quantity of consumption .

methods of conserving minerals are :

1. we should plan our use of these resources in a sustainable manner .

2. we should improve our technologies to use lower grade ores at lower costs .

3. recycling the the metals , using scrap metals and other non metals substitute should be employed where feasible
