Consider a boy on a trolley who throws a ball with speed 20 m/s at an angle 37° with respect to trolley which moves horizontally with speed 10m/s.Find the horizontal range with respect boy and with respect to ground ​

Total velocity of the ball respect to ground = velocity respect to boy + velocity respect to the trolley in the direction of 37°

u = 30sin37° = 30×3/5 = 18 m/s

Using the formula:- Range (R) = u^2 sin 2¤/g

R = u^2(2sin¤cos¤)/g

R = (18)^2(2sin37°cos37°)/10

R ={(18×18)×(2×(3/5)×(4/5))}/10

R = {18×18(24/25)}/10

R= 31.2
