Let’s find mean of the data using assumed mean method.
We are using assumed mean method to avoid miscalculation and false answer, as xi's are large in this question.

First, construct a table for ease of calculation.
Mean is given by
\bf{Mean=A+\frac{\Sigma f_id_i}{\Sigma f_i}}
Where A = assumed mean
\bf{Mean=325+\frac{-600}{50}}
 Mean = 325 – 12 = 313
Thus, mean daily wages of the workers is Rs. 313.

Mean = 275 + ( 38/50 ) × 50

= 275 + 38

= 313

Therefore ,

Average of the daily wages is 313

I hope this helps you.
