consider the following in N2 + 3H2 -> 2NH3 is this reaction (a)homogeneous and heterogeneous or exothermic or endothermic(b) write expression for Kp and Kc for the reaction(c) what are the favourable condition for obtaining maximum yield of NH3 using this reaction???​

(a) exothermic.(since ∆H = _46.1 kj/mol.) ( _ve).

(b) kp=p square (NH3)/p(N2) p cube (H2).

(c) optimum conditions :

(1) increasing the concentration of N2 and H2

(or) both and decreasing the concentration

of NH3.

(2) Temperature:725-775K.

(3) Pressure : 200 atm.

(4) catalyst: iron oxide along with small

amounts of K2O and AL2O3.

(5) Promoter : Molybdenum (MO).
