Consider the reaction A₂ + B → Product. If the concentration of A₂ and B are halved, the rate of the reaction decreases by a factor of 8. If the concentration of A is increased by a factor of 2.5, the rate increases by the factor of 2.5. What is the order of reaction? Write the rate law.

As the rate of the reaction becOmes two timees on doubling the concentartion of b so the reaction is first ordr wrt to b when both a and b is doubled then rate becomes eight times.as rxn is 1order art to b due to rate increases two times hence due to A rate increases four times which is 2^2 hence reaction is second order wrt to a

Rate law=(a^2)(b^1)
