India is a secular state.The term secular means that the state has no religion of it's own.The state is neither religious nor anti religious.The state observes complete neutrality in religious matter.In the Indian constitution from Article 25 to 28 the Right to freedom of religion has been granted to all the person resident in India.They have the right to propagate the religion of their own.
At some point of view India is not a secular state.According to them the state participates seriously in the religious matter.It gives economic aid to the different religions for their Economic uplift.It follows the policies of minoritism , intervention etc which are against the spirit of secularism.
