Given,

A line segment CD is 3.8 cm.

To Find,

Another line segment with twice the length.

Solution,

We draw a line segment CD of length 3.8 cm using a ruler.

Now twice of CD means, the length will be (3.8+3.8)=7.6 cm.

So another line segment AB has a length of 7.6 cm.

Draw it using the ruler.

Also if we don't calculate the length first, then we need to measure 3.8 cm in compaas then need to draw cut a curve from one end of any line segment. When the curve meets from there again we need to do the same. That's how we get the total length of 7.6 cm.

Hence, that's the process.
