TO CONSTRUCT: A parallelogram ABCD, AB = 6.5 cm, diagonal AC = 3.4 cm , altitude from A to BC = 2.5 cm.

STEP 1: Draw a ray AX & cut AL = 2.5 cm on it.

STEP 2: On AX at point L construct a perpendicular LY as shown in the fig.

STEP 3: Taking A as centre with 6.5 cm radius draw an arc cutting extended YL at point B. Join A & B.

STEP 4: Now, with same radius 6.5 cm , taking C as centre draw an arc.

STEP 5 : And then taking A as centre , with BC as radius, cut the previous arc at point D.

STEP 6 : Join AD & CD.

ABCD will be the required parallelogram.
