Now measure a length of 6.5cm on the compass and  place it on point A and mark an arc above the segment.

Now measure a length of 8cm on the compass and place the compass on the point B and mark an arc that intersects the other arc made from A.

The point of intersection is the point D.

Now we have to construct a point B to construct the parallelogram.

We now place the compass on point B and measure the length A and mark an arc as shown in figure.

Now place the compass on point D and measure the length A and make an arc the that intersects the arc made from B.

The intersection of both the arcs is point C.

The parallelogram ABCD is constructed.
