construct a quadrilateral ABCD in which ab = 3.4 cm cd is equals to 3 cm da equals to 5.7 cm ac is equals to 8 cm and BD = 4 cm

step 1 take a ruler and Mark 3.4 on sheet and Mark AB
step2 take a compass of radius for A C as 8 cm and make an arc
step 3 from compass at point A radius 5.7 and make second arc
step 4 from point a take compass of radius 8 and draw an arc
step 5 from B take compass of radius 4 cm and draw an arc you got point D
step 6 from D compass of radius 4 cm and draw it on the 8 cm radius arc you got point C

Construction :

Refer to the attachment for figure.

Steps of Construction :-

Step 1: Draw AB = 3.4 cm.

Step 2: With B as the centre and radius equal to 4 cm ,draw an Arc.

Step 3: With A as the centre and radius equal to 5.7 cm ,draw another Arc ,cutting the previous Arc at D.

Step 4: Join BD and AD.

Step 5: With A as the centre and radius equal to 8 cm ,draw an Arc.

Step 6: With D at the centre and radius equal to 3 cm, draw another Arc ,cutting the previous Arc at C.

Step 7: Join AC , CD and BC.

,This ABCD is the required quadrilateral.
