⇒  Draw a line segment AB=3cm

⇒  Take A as center with radius 5cm and draw an arc.

⇒  Take B as center with radius 4cm and draw an arc, which meets previous arc at point C.

⇒  Take A as center with radius 4.5cm and draw an arc.

⇒  Take C as center with radius 3.5cm and draw an arc, which meets previous arc at point D.

⇒  Join AC,BC,CD and AD.

∴  ABCD is a required quadrilateral.
