To construct: A quadrilateral ABCD in which AB = 4.8cm , BC = 4cm , CD = 4.5cm , AD = 3.8cm and the diagonal AC = 6 cm

Steps of construction:

  • Draw a line segment AB of length 4.8cm
  • From A, draw an arc taking measurement of 6cm
  • From B, draw an arc taking measurement of 4cm
  • Let the point of meeting of these two points be C.
  • From C, draw an arc taking measurement of 4.5cm, CD
  • From A, cut an arc of 3.8cm to meet the point D.
  • Join the points, BC, AD, and CD.
  • We get the desired quadrilateral ABCD with diagonal AC.
