Steps For Construction :

Step 1 : Draw a line segment BC = 6 cm

Step 2 : Construct an angle of 120° on B

Step 3 : Construct an angle of 90° on C

Step 4 : Take an arc of 8 cm from C for CD

Step 5 : Take an arc of 5 cm from B for AB

Step 6 : Join both the arcs

Required Quadrilateral ABCD will Form

Construction Facts :

• Measurements of at least 5 part must be given.

• The 5 parts can be :

- When 4 Sides and 1 Diagonal are given.

- When 2 Adjacent Sides and 3 Angles are given.

- When 3 Sides and 2 Included Angles are given.

• Angles should be construed using ruler and compasses whenever possible.

• Length of Diagonal have to be less than the sum of lengths of adjacent sides.
