given : AC=8cm, AC=2AB

so , AB = 4 cm

Triangle ACD is an equilateral triangle  and AC = 8 cm

so, AD = AC = CD = 8 cm

steps :

  • draw a line segment AB = 4 cm
  • with B as a center make an angle of 90 degree
  • with  A as a a center and radius = 8 cm draw an arc which cuts the line BX at point C
  • with A  as a center and radius = 8 cm draw an  arc
  • again , with C  as a center and radius = 8 cm draw an  arc , whch cuts the previously arc at point D
  • ABCD is the required quadrilateral
